Hugging Oliver

"Hugging Oliver" is a candle dedicated to all those babies who weren't born. I dedicated this candle to my unborn baby: Oliver. I was pregnant a couple of months back; I was delighted to have him inside my womb.

I went to my doctor's appointment, and everything was progressing positively, but during my 8-week pregnancy, I went back to the doctor, and his heart bit was not there. After a few analyses, it was concluded that my pregnancy would not progress; it was heartbreaking news. I could not bare the idea that my baby was there, and the next minute the baby was not there. And even though I never heard his heart, deep inside my heart, I love my baby.

I gave the name to this candle, "Hugging Oliver," because, in my heart, he was a boy; I will never see him growing; I will never hold his hand or see his eyes; I will never hear laughing or playing. But he is in my heart, and I want to dedicate this candle to all those babies who were not born and to all those mothers who lost their babies.
